Public Information Advisory - Special Meeting

WHAT:          Richmond City Council will hold a special meeting to (i) consider (a) Ord. No. 2024-284, to authorize the Chief Administrative Officer, for and on behalf of the City of Richmond to execute a Cooperation Agreement between the City of Richmond and the Economic Development Authority of the City of Richmond for the purpose of providing grants to small businesses in the city of Richmond.; (b) Ord. No. 2024-299, to authorize the Chief Administrative Officer, for and on behalf of the City of Richmond, to accept funds in the amount of $125,000.00 from the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services; to amend the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Special Fund Budget by creating a new special fund for the Department of Justice Services called “Help Me Help You Program Special Fund;” and to appropriate the increase to the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Special Fund Budget by increasing estimated revenues and the amount appropriated to the  Department of Justice Services’ Help Me Help You Program Special Fund by $125,000.00, for the purpose of funding the implementation of the Help Me Help You Program; and (ii) to introduce one or more budget related ordinances to (a) recapture and appropriate $500,000.00 in ARPA funds and (b) appropriate certain increased anticipated revenues in the total amount of $1,900,000.00 to the Non-Departmental agency and to various City departments. 

WHEN:          Monday, December 2, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. (The regularly scheduled Organizational Development Standing Committee meeting, scheduled for the same date and time, will take place at the conclusion of the special meeting.)
