Volunteering
Want to give back? Volunteer! Opportunities to volunteer with the City of Richmond's programs and outside Service Organizations are almost unlimited. Help out at a one-day special event or assist on an ongoing basis. Students who need service learning hours can earn hours through this program.
First time here? Volunteering is easy!
The Richmond City Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) Volunteers Making a Difference Program is currently seeking volunteers for several positions. If you are interested in serving as a volunteer contact the Neighbor to Neighbor Coordinator by e-mail, by phone at (804)646-6528, visit the Neighbor to Neighbor web page for more information, or Register for N2N online to receive volunteer opportunity e-mail notices.
All volunteers ages 18 and older desiring to work with children in programs sponsored by the Richmond Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities, will be required to undergo a background investigation.
Have language skills?
If you speak another language, other than English, and would like to volunteer at the OIRE, please contact us directly at (804)646-0145 or email us [email protected] .
