Commonwealth's Attorney
The Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney is the constitutional office that is responsible for prosecuting felony and misdemeanor crimes that occur in Richmond. The Office also supports alternatives to incarceration in the appropriate cases, including Recovery (Drug) Court, the Behavioral Health Docket, deferred dispositions, and restorative justice, among others.
