As a Constitutional Office of the Commonwealth of Virginia, the City Treasurer processes payments for portions of our judicial system, including Sheriff's Fees, the Commonwealth Attorney's Office, and General District Courts, as well as, managing payments for jurors and witness travel reimbursements. The City Treasurer’s Office is also home to the Office of Financial Empowerment, which provides access to financial education, referrals, coaching, and resources that advance economic stability.
