Westwood Community Resolution Plan
We’re working on scheduling our working groups: Please fill out our availability survey so we can plan dates according to when folks are most available: https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/004e69257d40455b86914f6796d4173d
The Westwood Community Resolution Plan was initiated as a result of the adopted RES. 2026-R024 resolution. This resolution states that, “the Department of Planning and Development Review collaborate with the residents of and community stakeholders in the Westwood neighborhood, bordered by Dunbar Street, Patterson Avenue to Glenburnie Road, and from Stokes Lane to the north side of Patterson Avenue, to evaluate appropriate land use, zoning, and policy tools, and develop community-informed design guidelines and strategies to preserve the cultural and historic character of the Westwood neighborhood and support neighborhood stability, and provide a written report of such findings and recommendations.”
The Westwood Community Resolution Plan brings together residents, community stakeholders, the planning and development department staff, and representatives of other city departments to reach a shared policy outcome for Westwood. To determine the best course of action for how the community wishes to craft policy for the shared future of the neighborhood, a series of working groups are being scheduled.

We had our first meeting! The kickoff meeting for the Westwood Community Resolution Plan was well attended, with over 100 attendees. The link below contains scans of the engagement boards and the engagement we received from residents during our event.

Working groups will be open to residents and stakeholders of the Westwood community to attend. These working groups will be informed by subject matter experts who provide insights on what policy options are available to the community and what will be most effective in servicing the community’s needs.
The intended goal of the resolution is to partner with the community to determine what policy tools the community wishes to adopt for Westwood. We hope that you can join us as we embark on this journey!
