The Urban Forestry Commission was established to improve the City's urban forestry resources through policy development, advice, education and fundraising.

- Three non-voting members, city’s Urban Forester, a representative from the Office of Sustainability, and a representative from the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Facilities.
- Nine voting members, one member is a certified arborist, and one member is a registered certified landscape architect. Except for the certified arborist, all voting members shall be residents of the City. Of the nine voting members, three members are appointed by the Mayor and six members are appointed by the City Council.
