Crime of the Week
From: Detective Derrick Longoria
Number: 20-24
Date of Release: 9/10/2020
This week Crime Stoppers needs the public’s help in solving a case that has gone cold in the City of Richmond.
On June 6, 2016 Richmond Police responded to the 1600B of Silver Ave for a missing person. 73 year old Lander Freeman was last seen leaving his home to walk to Kings Market. His walking stick was found on the porch of a friend’s home in the 1400B of Silver Ave. Lander never returned home and is believed to be endangered.
He is described as a black male, 6’1” tall, with a medium complexion, weighing approximately 200 pounds. He has an injury to one eye. He was last seen wearing green pants, a black fedora-type hat and a coat with “Obama” written on it and fur around the hood.
You can see a photo of Mr. Freeman on the Crime Stoppers Facebook Page. Just go to Facebook.com and search Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers.
If you have information about any unsolved crime or fugitive wanted in the Metro Richmond Area, call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000 or submit your tip through the P3 Tips App. The app is available for download to your mobile device. Both methods are anonymous and you could receive a cash reward up to $1000. Follow us on Facebook and @CrimestoppersRVA to help us locate fugitives and solve more crimes. Crime Stoppers would like to remind you that tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for a cash reward up to $1000 and we don’t need to know who you are to know who they are.
I am Detective Derrick Longoria of the Metro Richmond Crime Stoppers and this is your Crime of the Week.
