Crime of the Week
From: Detective Derrick Longoria
Number: 22-11
Date of Release: 6/14/2022
This week Crime Stoppers needs the public’s help in Identifying a male in stealing a vehicle in Henrico County.
On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Henrico Police received a call from a woman reporting her vehicle had been stolen on Saturday, May 28. The complainant told detectives she had parked her vehicle around 8 p.m. in the 3900 block of Pilots Lane and unknowingly dropped her keys in the grass.
Video surveillance on May 29 at approximately 1:45 a.m. shows a man walk to the vehicle from the breezeway of a nearby building, unlock the vehicle, get in and then drive away. Additional videos show the man speaking with another individual prior to walking over to steal the vehicle.
You can see photos of him on the Crime Stoppers Facebook Page. Just go to Facebook.com and search Metro Richmond Crimes Stoppers.
If you have information about this or any unsolved crime or fugitive wanted in the City of Richmond, Hanover, Henrico, Charles City, New Kent, Goochland and Caroline County, call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000 or submit your tip through the P3 Tips App. The app is available for download to your mobile device. Both methods are anonymous and you could receive a cash reward up to $1000. Follow us on Facebook and @CrimestoppersRVA to help us locate fugitives and solve more crimes.
