Public Information and Media Inquiries
What is a Public Information Officer (PIO)?
Our Public Information Officers are communications professionals responsible for managing and sharing information between the Richmond City government and the public, including media, community stakeholders, and visitors. PIOs partner closely with their assigned departments; they have a deep knowledge of the portfolios they represent, and they make sure that important work happening in their departments can be shared broadly with the public.
