Proposed Non-City Water Regulations

NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT DEPARTMENTAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

The Director of Public Utilities proposes to adopt the following departmental rule and regulation pertaining to the following matter, pursuant to Section 28-26 of the Code of the City of Richmond and other authority, and proposed to become effective May 20, 2022:

  • Non-City Water Use Program

The proposed departmental rule and regulation, if adopted, will have the effect of repealing and superseding any conflicting departmental rules and regulations, currently effective.

On Friday, May 20, 2022 at 10:00 a.m., the Director will hold a public hearing at the Department of Public Utilities’ Stormwater facility located at 1801 Commerce Road, Richmond, Virginia, to hear all persons who want to comment on the proposed rule and regulation.  Parking is available at the Stormwater facility, and identification (I.D.) may be required upon arrival.  All persons wishing to speak during the public hearing must be present and must sign in to speak by no later than 10:05 a.m.  The hearing will be adjourned promptly following completion of the public comments.

Written comments concerning the proposed rule and regulation may be submitted in person or by mail to the Director of Public Utilities through May 20, 2022.
