City Offices Closed Tuesday, November 5 for Election Day
City government offices, including City Hall, will be closed on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 for Election Day. City offices will reopen at regular business hours on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. The General Registrar’s Office on the first floor of City Hall will be open on Election Day.
Parks, Recreation & Community Facilities offices and all city community centers will be closed Tuesday, November 5, except for those that are serving as polling stations. The following community centers will be open on Tuesday, November 5 for the purposes of voting only: Bellemeade, Blackwell, Hickory Hill, Hotchkiss, Humphrey Calder, Powhatan, Randolph and Southside.
All branches of the Richmond Public Library will be closed on Tuesday, November 5. The Main Branch of the Richmond Public Library will be open for voting purposes only.
Richmond Animal Care and Control will also be closed Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
Refuse collection will be delayed by one day, as the city’s Solid Waste Management Division will be closed Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
The East Richmond Road Convenience Center and Hopkins Road Transfer Stations will also be closed on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. Each facility will resume normal operations on Wednesday, November 6, 2019.
