WHAT:          Richmond City Council will hold a special meeting to consider Ord. No. 2023-280, to authorize the Chief Administrative Officer, for and on behalf of the City of Richmond, to execute a Grant Agreement between the City of Richmond, 700 West 44, LP, and the Economic Development Authority of the City of Richmond for the purpose of facilitating the construction of an affordable residential development located at 700 West 44th Street, and to introduce (i) ordinances concerning the (a) establishment of an inclement weather shelter at 1900 Chamberlayne Avenue, (b) planning, development, and operation of a cultural space to be located at the Main Street Station, and (c) establishment of a new real estate tax rate of $1.15, and (d) to amend the name of a Non-Departmental agency line item in Fiscal Year 2023-2024 General Fund Budget and (ii) a resolution for expedited consideration to appoint an Interim City Auditor.
