City of Richmond COVID-19 Resources
After March 14, all City Council meetings, to include budget work sessions, special and standing committee meetings, will be open to in person attendance and participation.
Members of the public will have the option to provide their comments by teleconference/videoconference via Microsoft Teams, or in writing via email. Interested citizens who wish to take advantage of either option, must do so prior to 10:00 a.m., on the meeting date, by calling the Office of the City Clerk at (804) 646-7955 and selecting option 3, or sending comments to CityClerksOffice@rva.gov. All written comments received before the deadline will be provided to all members of the Council prior to the beginning of the meeting and will be included in the record of the meeting. All Richmond City Council meetings are live-streamed and archived on Legistar.
*The Office of the City Clerk requests that participants provide digital copies of any handouts intended for the body in advance of meetings via email at cityclerksoffice@rva.gov.
If emailing the Office of the City Clerk, please include the following information:
- Your full legal name
- Your phone number
- Whether you plan to speak during the public comment period (not related to items currently on the agenda) or during public hearings (speaking in support or opposition of an ordinance or resolution)
- Any organizations you represent, and
- Any economic or personal relationships that would be affected by the adoption of the legislation on which you are commenting
