The Circuit Court Clerk  is charged with more than 800 statutory responsibilities.  The mission of this office is to diligently and professionally serve the needs of the courts, legal community and citizens of the city of Richmond.

We are committed to excellent customer service and will be happy to assist you with any questions or concerns about our policies and procedures.  Please be advised that state law prohibits us from rendering legal advice or recommending specific ways to pursue legal action.

PLEASE NOTE:  Guns, ammunition, sharp objects, electronic devices, glass containers, aerosol cans or bottles, liquids or tools are not allowed in the building.  Cell phones are allowed in the building but will have to be checked in and left at the information desk.
